Selected Monoprints and Monotypes
I began taking classes at the Center for The Arts at WCC/ Suny NY
in 2008. I had just retired and needed to fill my time. I began with
drawing, progressed to pen and ink, then illustration and finally
printmaking. I enjoy experimenting with all types of paper, inks and
tools to make my marks. I also use a gel pad which allows me to
make prints without the use of a press. I have had solo exhibitions in
New York and have received awards for some of my monoprints. I
have also had my art shown in the Mehu Gallery NYC in various
shows over the past 3 years. I was also included in a show at the
New Jersey City College.
I currently teach Tai Chi and have been able to connect my art with
Tai Chi by the painting of dragons and koi on Tai Chi flutes (sticks).
I try to include art in all aspects of my life, from painting portraits of
cats at our local SPCA to doing individual Christmas cards and tote
Born and raised in White Plains, NY. I received an associate degree
